Yikes, it's been a long time since I've used Blogger! I originally set this up this blog for a college assignment, and afterwards I drifted back to my main blog. Now that I've returned for a bit, it's high time I bring everything up to date. So let me re-introduce myself:
My name is Lynn, and I’m a graduate at the Irish School of Animation, with a BA in Animation (May 2015). I used to be the Head of the BCFE Animation Society (and still kinda am, until the new blood takes over in September). I'm working at the amazing studio that is Boulder Media (someone pinch me). You can see their artblog HERE. (Have I used too many parentheses yet?)
Here, have a #MeetTheArtist drawing:
I'm a bookworm and a bit of a dork, with an undying love for 2D animation. And will probably cry at any film/book/TV show with enough heart in it. I'm a dab hand at Production roles (hooray for colourful spreadsheets!). I am particularly interested in Storyboarding and Background Art, and hope to pursue these areas in the future. I also enjoy writing about my experiences of industry events on my main blog and via my Twitter account (that's where you'll find me most often).
At this point I've talked enough about myself. Thank you for taking the time to check out this blog!

Re-Cap of my old blog
For those of you who are new visiting, here's a re-cap of some the best NON-portfolio pieces posted on my previous blog, http://atticcreationz.wordpress.com/. I've excluded portfolio pieces, as they can be viewed HERE. These are "the best of the rest" if you will.
Of course, feel free to ignore this and do it the DIY way - just scroll through my old blog and see ALL the posts! I would also recommend taking a look at my Retrospect tag to see how I've improved over the years (click here to see those posts)

Hello everyone!
As promised, here is a list of all the places you can find more examples of my work.
It should be noted that when online I predominantly go under the pseudonym AtticCreationz.
http://lynnoreilly.wordpress.com/
Type of content:
A refined selection of my best work in two-dimensional, still art:
Life Drawing, Storyboarding, Layout, Character Design, and Illustration. Also includes a selection of refined sketchbook pages.
Recommended viewing:
My storyboards and my layouts
Activity level:
Low, as it is not a blog, and it is only updated as I see fit.
http://lynnoreilly.wordpress.com/
Type of content:
Tweets about my latest posts and updates. Also tweets and re-tweets about art and animation. This site is the most important of all my sites, second only to my portfolio. Essentially, my twitter is the Grand Central Station for any and all of my websites.
Activity level:
High. If I put art online, you'll hear it here first.
http://www.youtube.com/atticcreationz
Type of content:
All of my moving images - reels, animatics, pieces of animation and animation exercises etc. You'll see more 3D work here than you would in my portfolio.
Recommended viewing:
My reel and my emotional sack excercise
Activity level:
Low, as the frequency of uploads is effected by the length of time it takes to make a piece of animation (which, as we know, is comparatively longer than a single drawing!)
(NOT UP YET)
Type of content:
Personal artwork; everything from doodles to fan art to original illustrations.
Recommended viewing:
(no website yet, so no content)
Activity level:
Fluctuates according to priorities at the time in question
(I endeavour to keep up personal art on the side, but college of course is my priority. So if college is particularly busy and/or there are deadlines to be met, Tumblr will be quite for that period)

2) http://atticcreationz2.deviantart.com/
3) http://atticcreationz.wordpress.com/
4) http://oribiszodiac.wordpress.com/
Type of content of each:
1) Personal artwork - original designs for posters, badges, t-shirts, etc.
2) Personal artwork - fan art and doodles
3) My old blog, which contains the same kinds of things you'll find here, the only difference being that they date back from before September 2013.
4) A production blog I contributed to for a group project (duration: December 2012 to May 2013)
Recommended viewing for each:
1) Moo poster
2) "Draw This Again" challenge
3) The best of my old blog
4) One of the characters I contributed
Activity levels:
All sites are now predominantly inactive in terms of posting. However I still frequent Deviant Art to keep up with my favourite artists via my second account; and I also will be making prints available to purchase from my main account.
Well, what are you waiting for? Go forth and explore!
Thanks for visiting!

Introduction
Hello everyone and welcome to my new blog!
Time for some introductory answers to questions you may be asking:
Who the heck are you??
Time for some introductory answers to questions you may be asking:
Who the heck are you??
For those of you who are as new to me as I am to Blogspot, let me introduce myself.
My name is Lynn and I am a student of the Irish School of Animation, which is based in Ballyfermot College of Further Education. I'm now in my first year of a BA in Visual Media: Animation (this being my third year in total studying animation). I am particularly interested in Storyboarding, and hope to pursue it in the industry when I have completed my studies.
So, what's the purpose behind this blog and what can you expect from me?
Well, a portfolio showcases an artist’s best work, tailored towards a certain area of interest. But I set up this blog so that you can get a better idea of how I preform in the various areas of animation on a daily basis, and so you can track how much progress I make throughout the year. After all, in a studio environment, an artist should not just be able to complete a project on the brink of a deadline: they should be able to preform well daily and be able to understand the principles of other areas when needed.
It should be noted that this blog is a sort of continuation of my previous blog, http://atticcreationz.wordpress.com/ . So pop over there if you'd like to see what I've been doing up until now.
Wait, you have another blog? Can I find you on other websites too?
I do indeed have some accounts on some other websites, which I will list in another post after this if you want to take a look-see :)
Thank you for taking the time to check out this blog!
